God is One

We believe that God is One

The idea of the Trinity has confused many generations of Christians. We believe that the Word of God is the ultimate authority, so what does the Bible have to say about this idea?

To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One. (Isaiah 40:25)

These are not the words of a third part of a triune Godhead, but the words of a supreme God. The question posed by Isaiah is answered later in the Bible:

...which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:   (Philippians 2:5-6)

The phrase "Holy One" appears nearly fifty times in the Bible, the term "Holy Three" does not appear even once. Often people seek to confuse the issue by quoting Matthew 28:19:   "...baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost." I ask you this...   what is theonly Name under Heaven and Earth by which men may be saved? Not a title such as Son, or Father, or Holy Ghost; but a name by which God may be known. I think we all know the answer to that.

Jesus; the only name given among men by which they may be saved. The Lord gave of Himself to provide this path that leads us to salvation.
